It is this emotion that the Bowud team wishes to share with you through its creations, to evoke the memories specific to each of you.

 

Manuel, the Founder

 

Manuel is a wood lover, although this has not yet translated into his training and career path. Until Bowud…!

 

Italian by birth from Rome and French by adoption, living for several years in Paris, Manuel always says that he is the child of one of most beautiful countries in the world.

 

His maternal grandfather was a carpenter and cabinetmaker. As a child, Manuel would spend time with his nonno (Italian for grandfather), using his large green machines — the thicknesser, planer, band saw, and more — to help craft wooden furniture. What remains most vividly from those early memories is the distinct scent of wood being worked in his grandfather’s Italian workshop.

 

Passionate about design and sleek, linear decor, Manuel wanted to decorate his family apartment with custom-made shelves made of real wood. However, he encountered two major problems: finding high-quality custom-made shelves, unlike the plastic often found, and obtaining fast delivery, in less than 8 weeks, unlike the timeframes usually advertised by professionals.

 

From this observation was born Bowud.

The Bowud team is comprised of experienced artisan carpenters based in France. Each brings their expertise and passion for wood, selecting the finest wood species to create unique furniture that combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design.
